Clank!, Lotus, and World's Fair 1893 Nominated for Origins Awards!

San Diego, CA (May 11th, 2017) Renegade Game Studios is excited to announce that the Origins Awards Nominees have been posted revealing that Clank! A Deck-building Adventure, Lotus, and World's Fair 1893 have all been nominated. The Origins Awards are a selected by committees of industry professionals and will be announced during the annual Origins Game Fair in Columbus Ohio in June. During the fair, attendees will also have a chance to vote for games they love for the Fan Favorites awards.

Clank!, by Paul Dennen of Dire Wolf Digital has received many nods in the recent months due to its innovative take on deck-building and was nominated in the Board Game category. Players explore a dungeon while using the familiar deck-building mechanics, offering a fresh and rewarding experience. Adventurers must carefully watch their opponents to avoid being stuck in the dungeon with an angry dragon at the end of the game. This exciting social aspect of the game often leads to stories told long after the game is over.

Lotus, by Jordan and Mandy, has been touted as one of the most beautiful games of the year by reviewers and has been nominated for the Traditional Card Games category. Players grow flowers, one petal at a time, vying for control of the blooms. While it is a simple and stunningly gorgeous game, players will find a surprising amount of depth, strategy, and skill is require on this path towards enlightenment.

World's Fair 1893, by J. Alex Kevern co-published with Foxtrot Games, was nominated for the Board Game category. Players are transported back to Chicago during a time of intense innovation and discovery. Acting as organizers of the fair, players work diligently to increase their influence throughout the fair and obtain the grand exhibits that will be put on display. The organizer who has earned the best reputation when the fair begins will emerge the victory.
